I think Dempsey and Christie were great, thought Turner went well, Huge Ones was good, Finn was kinda ok. But a lot of the handling was amateur, like the old days.
@ScotRugbyBlog Yeah, Christie looked the real deal. Not perfect, but his first proper chance. Kinghorn seems very out of form though.
@ScotRugbyBlog Does Finn overplay it a little. Hes class, dont get me wrong, but maybe he just needs to let someone truck it up the guts.
@ScotRugbyBlog Finn did not get the space to operate in the game, Italians did a good job keeping him contained with their rush defence!
@ScotRugbyBlog I felt like the space Tuipulotu gives Russell was not there. Redpath didn’t give as many options or ask as many questions as Tuipulotu would. The Italian game plan was to disrupt the continuity of the Scottish back line and it worked.
@ScotRugbyBlog I've not been convinced by turner reckon they should give Matthews a chance whilst skinner deserves a start
@ScotRugbyBlog Another case of being the best team for 40 minutes. The first 30 and the last 10. Once again, the other team were better for 40 minutes. Scotland used to find really novel ways to lose, but losing 2 and very close to losing 3 in the same way is massively infuriating.
@ScotRugbyBlog Italy, playing in front of a full house, were one score away from a big defeat after Scotland's second try. We then fell apart and were abysmal in the second half till the game was gone. There's something badly wrong given our 2nd half performances this Six Nations.
