@CVBrady @tragicbirdapp I know you addressed this by specifying "mass numbers," but if a genetic disposition toward certain allergies keeps dying at step 1, you're never going to get mass deaths from allergies because they don't get to pass on that genetic marker, it prevents exponential growth.

@CVBrady @tragicbirdapp What changed is if you had those allergies back then, you just died. People before the industrial revolution didn't get to choose what to eat for nourishment and allergies couldn't proliferate because natural selection just killed people with those allergies.

It's entirely possible it was her father, thus one of their sources of income, possibly all of it, needs to be excised. The financial hardship of moving shouldn't be the condition for abortion.

@GarbageLumi @LmfaoWith You really just had to live through the time period. It boggles my mind that I liked his content as much as I did at the time, I can still go back and laugh at a lot of it, but it's more the nostalgia than anything ground-breaking. Either way, edgy jokes are still jokes.

If used cautiously and sparingly for extreme cases, corporal punishment strikes me as equally effective as other punishments with less resource investment as other punishments.

The atomic bombs did impact how quickly Hirohito decided to intervene on the war council's deadlock, but whether it was necessary/better to do so is harder to justify to me. I was originally of the same opinion you were, but changed my mind.
