Grateful to have spoken this morning to @RepFrenchHill and others of the @FinancialCmte HR4427 in its current form is not the right approach forward and does not align with President Trump’s agenda for Syria. I hope that the Financial Services Committee reconsiders this measure and takes more time to study and work on Syria sanctions. A clean repeal of the Caesar Act promotes stability. Grateful that the amendment by @RepMaxineWaters includes the same policy of my bipartisan bill — clean repeal, a policy which is supported by MANY Republicans including 6 Republican cosponsors of HR 3941 and is in line with President Trump’s approach.
