Maybe wait until he has actually played a few games before bashing his work ethic. Especially when he is literally doing what is expected of him.

Everybody says the Vikings have a "Super Bowl roster" Then how'd they get blown out in R1 of 2024 playoffs with a QB who won the Super Bowl the following season on an "inferior" roster? If Sam wasn't the problem, and if Jefferson and the top-5 D wasn't the problem... what was?

Don’t give up on Max Brosmer yet. He is essentially a rookie after only 2 starts. Look at the first two games of Josh Allen, Peyton Manning, John Elway etc. Yall would have gave up on them too. You don’t deserve to have a franchise QB…..

@W8K9C @DBAR_67_ @PhilMackey JJ McCarthy is a professional QB. He had already lost his rookie season. They didn't have time to coddle him. And they'd been working on his mechanics since he was drafted. All the practice progress he made just disappeared in games.

@W8K9C @DBAR_67_ @PhilMackey You can't get much out of guys who get injured every other games and have as big of accuracy issues as JJ had. Be critical of him even agreeing to roll with JJ to begin with or the pick itself. He did all he could to realistically navigate that situation last year.
@DBAR_67_ @TheRealCrishad Resigining Sam Darnold would've been the right choice without a Super Bowl. He proved that he is a QB good enough to win a Super Bowl and the guy they replaced him with lasted one season in the lineup before getting replaced.
I agree he needs to learn. He showed major adaptability last season. And it needs to carry over into this season. But the top 10 pick not even being able to play at a borderline startable level the majority of last season on a good team is not on him. And if this season goes up into flames, he might get fired. I'm not even a huge KOC guy, but he is taking flack for the wrong things.
You're pretending nuance doesn't exist. JJ looked solid enough in the summer to where they felt ok rolling with him. It took 5 starts for KOC to realize they'd made a terrible mistake. He then adjusted significantly for the rest of the season and brought in a way better QB. He also advocated for Rodgers behind the scenes because he thought JJ needed an actual redshirt season. He is not a perfect QB evaluator but sometimes you can't tell how bad someone is until they've actually played real games.

JJ missed 5 of the 1st 7 games and only started 10 total games. He needed to see what JJ was capable of and significantly cut back on his passes after seeing he just wasn't very accurate. He did what you're supposed to do. And the lack of rushng attempts was primarily due to JJ being so bad that the offense just stalled out for large chunks of games.
