@HugePossum 2020 is EPBC Act review year - can we get a better deal for threatened species this time around?
When I worked with Senator Robert Hill and many others to introduce the EPBC Act in the late 1990s we all thought it would put an end to Australian threatened species losing their habitat. We were wrong and this paper proves it conbio.onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/full/10.11…
@sarahinthesen8 No wild birds, these are all captive bred by Australian aviculturists and very few of their wild cousins are threatened species. ACTP is doing magnificent work internationally to save numerous parrot species. Get a grip @sarahinthesen8 - go after illegal smugglers.

@neophema1 Best you read the article @neophema1 - the headline is just clickbait - ACTP have done everything well within the law and are making a real difference for many threatened species internationally.
