@FranchiseMnA Seems like the pandemic led ppl to try new things with their kids education and extracurriculars. We are making a homeschool plan now but it’s hard to filter the religious programs out. My biggest fear is not preparing them academically, they’ll be weird no matter what.

Neighborhood kid (12) is mowing our yard, edging, picking up dog 💩. I had to hire him, he’s got biz cards and everything. Told me he’s saving up for a truck and just hit $1k. Again, 12, 5th grade In a world where kids don’t work or drive until they’re 21, raise kids like this.

@realEstateTrent I grew up below the poverty line most years and my mom would always come home with a shitload of lottery tix. She’d hang them on the fridge. Remember her crying bc she didn’t win powerball. I’ve never played the lottery or even entered a raffle. I hit the lottery making it out.

@sweatystartup Been thinking about this too. The amount of unsolicited feedback we get about socialization is hilarious. I don’t think sitting in a class with 20+ kids and one stress ball teacher is the kind of social development we’re going after.
