Welcome talks of @Ofstednews continuing with SEND Area Inspections. Once the inspection & subsequent revisit was completed, focus shifted from improvement plan to buisness as usual. Local authorities should continue to be challenged on their failure.

Transport decisions shouldn't be made in isolation, based on policy. Schools, parents and case workers should have input. We know the child. We know they will need support getting to school. We do not care about the 3 mile policy. We worry about needs being met.

Many other Local Authorities would have placed children at these schools on a Out of Area placement. The places wouldn't have been cheap. Worrying this has been allowed to happen.

Some real positive working with social care for a post 16 case. Clear plan to provide 5 days of support. 3 days education and 2 days social care input. It can be done.
