Currently on a hunt for the first record of Iberian latin/Spanish using Y for the word And from latin Et, cognate with italian E. At what point did someone use the greek letter Y to represent this conjunction instead of E or I. El Cantar de mio Cid, uses E in around 1200-ish AD.

Reading a medieval catalogue of an Iberian monastery in the 10th century, primarily for the mix of latin and early stages of Castilian/Aragonese vernacular. I like the feel of it on my tongue, the rigid latin noun declensions smoothing away to vowels that flow into each other.
