@IntraRunner 1. Shoe tech 2. Nutrition (Bicarb specifically) 3. Better training Mainly the first 2 are the reason for it. The 3rd just rounds it out. The jump in performances from 2019 to now are explained by the first 2.

@stevemagness Haven't more distance coaches been doing more and more threshold work? In the 2000's that wasn't a staple key workout for many coaches. I had a great coach but I know his X's and O's weren't the best compared to what is widely known now.
