Only if the local rule is in effect, a player may drop a ball that has gone out of bounds at the nearest edge of the fairway to where the ball last crossed the out of bounds boundary. For this, it costs the player 2 strokes. #NewRulesOfGolf

As a new (4th) option, should a player declare their ball lying in a bunker unplayable, the can drop it out of the bunker in line with the pin and not nearer the hole. For this, the player incurs a 2-stroke penalty.
