@DZRishmawy Many of your remarks simply bear out unfamiliarity with CSL's scholarly work, sources, and peers. The other volumes of OHEL think along the same lines. Lewis knew that humanists were not carrying out a Thomistic project--indeed he thought them incapable of doing so ( like Muller)

@DZRishmawy Calvin—like you—may have wanted to avoid these implications, but Muller says he does not provide a way around them. He simply denies the corollary. Humanism gave him disdain, but not tools for intellectual consistency. This is why CSL says "comes near to saying".
