Capitalism is what makes colonization seem worthwhile. Stealing land is big business.
@RossCol89474735 Yet, colonization is lower than its ever been in the history of mankind. Also capitalism is at an all time high.
@RossCol89474735 Stealing land is genocide. Genocide is big business.
@RossCol89474735 Indeed. Part of the operating procedure according to Douglas Valentine's books on the CIA
@RossCol89474735 Funny how you can take a free system for everyone, put government in control and then blame the system for the outcome when in reality, the system is completely different than how it started. The hypocrisy comes when the same people say we need more government.
@RossCol89474735 Communism will ensure nobody owns land worth steeling. No bueno.
@RossCol89474735 Do you figure pre-capitalism colonial behavior to be an expression of proto-capitalist ideology? Kind of in the way that monarchical and feudal structures were a precursor to the capital class and were largely supplanted by the capital class? Cuz that's kind of how I see it.
@RossCol89474735 That was true prior to capitalism. Spain enslaved tens of thousands in Peru & today's Argentina to mine silver & gold, making the Church & the aristocracy crazy rich. But they blew the wealth on cathedrals & palaces & lavish lifestyles instead of investing it. England didn't.
