Randall was 1-4 in the playoffs as an Eagle. And was rightly benched at halftime in that 1995 game in Oak. And Ray was Coach of the Year that year & won a playoff game with Rodney. And we all know what happened a week later in Dallas. Love Randall but you gotta know the history.

@RoobNBCS I loved Randall too. Dynamic, fun to watch, and gave us two of the greatest TD passes in Eagles history (8 yds to Jiles after Carson's non-sack, and 95 yds to Arkansas Fred). But objectively, Donovan was better, and neither are in the Mt. Rushmore of Eagles.
@RoobNBCS because of the success of Andy Reid, fans forget that Ray was Lurie's FIRST HC hire and he was Coach of the Year etc...what hurt Ray with the Eagles was Cris T Jones and Bobby Hoying taking 10 steps backwards in their development
@RoobNBCS agreed, Roob. Randall my fave Eagle ever but was not great in playoffs. Poor O-line, iffy coaching and lack of run game were factors but some is on Randall. i just wish he had stayed healthy in '91. it could have changed perception of Randall forever
@RoobNBCS Randall was a special player that changed how the QB position was played. His won-loss record has nothing to do with how talented he was
@RoobNBCS I fight w people all the time about Randall. "Oh, we would have won it all in '91 if he hadn't gotten injured!" they say. Extremely debatable and very doubtful. He was outright horrid in the playoffs and there's plenty of tape to back that up.
@RoobNBCS Yup! Randall was young and inexperienced with the Eagles. It screwed up his development when his coach suddenly passed away. People remember Randall later with the Vikings when he was so much better
@RoobNBCS Still bitter about 1991, though.
@RoobNBCS He was a better QB in Minnesota (but fun to watch as an Eagle).
@RoobNBCS bless ‘em both, they did things nobody else could do, but if either Randall or McNabb had had Jalen’s mental game, they’d be in the HoF with a couple rings each
@RoobNBCS Throw out the Fog Bowl, but 7 and 6 points on offense vs. Rams and WSH is rough.
