The graph is incorrect. The algo royalty alone is $60 for a couple's tri-merge...one credit report. Most first-time homebuyers need several due to elongated searches for the right home. Even repeat homebuyers may need more than one depending on circumstances, esp in a seller's market. And yes, there are credit bureau and credit reseller charges that get added on.

Graph is wrong. Sorry. Basic tri-merge for a couple is $60 for one pull. Most first-time buyers need many of these during the entire home-buying process. Major annual price hikes for a product that even the $fico ceo admits is outdated make this situation even worse. Classic monopoly behavior btw.

No. It’s an outdated product actually holding people back. Even the CEO admits it’s quite dated. So they have been scalping prices on an obsolete product. FICO 10T is a better product but they didn’t hustle it into the market until…competition appeared. This is classic monopoly economic behavior. FHFA Director saw this and acted. $fico $fnma @pulte.

Now you’re starting to sound educated. But many first-time homebuyers (largely couples) need 4-6 credit pulls. Or more. So that is $240-$360 just to FICO. For an outdated product. Yes VantageScore will help. And this is exactly why the $FICO PE has collapsed in the last 2 years. Americans don’t like monopolies extracting economic rents from young families. @dayetweets Incorrect entirely. You don’t know the market. The entire tri-merge bill is MUCH more expensive. Just the $FICO part of the tri-merge is $10 per pull. That’s $30. Plus a spouse. Times many pulls due to lender shopping, expired pulls etc etc. You don’t know this market.

@OndejNmec16 @FindleysFinance Ok you know nothing. VA mortgages are not under FHFA. And yes those mortgages, as just one example, have been using VantageScore for years. Now more of the US market will do so. Again, if you have no clue about the mortgage market, you ought not be in this stock.

@ManuInvests @KetzKK VantageScore has submitted years of data to FHFA & the GSEs for indexing. MBS investors are comfortable with the modeling. It will take some time but the 90+% market share of FICO mortgage credit scores will decline ultimately.
