The Packers have the last major piece to the new defensive staff now in place. Former Chargers DC Derrick Ansley will be the new pass game coordinator, per a source. There will likely be a few quality control or assistant position coaches added but all key positions are filled.
More on Ansley: He was the LAC defensive coordinator in 2023 after spending the previous two seasons as their defensive backs coach.
@RobDemovsky @TomSilverstein Rob, has there been any progress on hiring a new Strength and Conditioning Coordinator? Sorry to bother you with this, but I can't find anything about the Packers even talking with anyone. Thanks again for your kindness and understanding. Hope you have a wonderful evening.
@RobDemovsky @AdamSchefter 🔥🔥🔥❗️ ❤️ 🪐 #POCKETSPACEGG🪐 ❤️ ❗️🔥🔥🔥
@RobDemovsky @AdamSchefter I don't see Love being the long-term answer at QB.
@RobDemovsky Didn't the Chargers defense get torched all year last year in the passing game with a bunch of high priced studs on that side of the ball?That seems like as about as good of an idea as hiring Adrian Peterson to be your daycare coordinator, or Vince McMahon as your HR Coordinator
@RobDemovsky Chargers D or not he was promoted to DC for a reason. Some fans here act like they're hiring him as the DC. He should fit well in the reduced role that he'll have for the packers
@RobDemovsky @AdamSchefter I love it. A guy goes from being a DC to passing game coordinator 🤦🏻♂️
