This is the most repeated comment and it's pure projection. People are afraid that we'd give them substandard care because that's exactly would they would do if they were in the caregiving role. They're telling on themselves.

I don't discriminate in my care. You show up in my emergency department, you're going to get the care you need to address your chief complaint. I have an ethical and religious obligation to you. But also, why would I throw away my license in such a frivolous way?
@RndmStreetMedic I hope your medical treatment is better than your gaslighting!! You never did answer the question, ya just got defensive. A sure sign of guilt!
@RndmStreetMedic Does a medic on a battlefield give equal treatment to foe and friend?
@RndmStreetMedic If a patient told you they found your pin offensive would you remove it & still provide care? Or argue with them that it’s your choice? This comment is not pure projection - it’s valid. You only wish it was projection.
@RndmStreetMedic Yep. I’ve often been in the position to help people who would like to see me suffer and die. I helped them anyway because I’m there to help. Too many of them can’t fathom that. It’s good they don’t have to, I guess.
@RndmStreetMedic They believe it due to large amount of anecdotal evidence and fuelled by comments such as yours. You are making a similar mistake to what you accuse others of. Because you won't let other factors influence the way you treat people you presume others will act in the same way.
@RndmStreetMedic "In my experience" is code for "what I fantasize about doing to you"
@RndmStreetMedic For goodness sake. I work in veterinary medicine, not human, but we don’t discriminate based on ideology. We had a person walk into our clinic (despite signs not to) open carrying a handgun and we still worked with her to provide the best care possible for her pet.
@RndmStreetMedic Yup, it's straight up "This is how I would treat people I don't like, so I would expect them to treat me the same way."
