This just repeats something we've been saying for over 2 years. We showed CTCL funding disproportionately benefited Ds and was correlated with an 8k increase in D turnout. Since the margin was 20k, it couldn't have "thrown" the election (although an expenditure that moves 40% of the margin is not insignificant.) But that doesn't mean that embedding partisans in clerks' offices in the way CTCL did is a good idea or that we want partisans funding election operations. If CTCL wants to boost D turnout, spend the money on the D ground game.

@RickEsenberg So, why is a constitutional amendment a better solution to this than bipartisan legislation?
@RickEsenberg My issue is that higher voter turnout isnt a problem. Period. If someone targets democrat areas for higher voter turnout, that should just be a sign yall got to step up your game, not ban gotv activities.
@RickEsenberg The drop boxes were illegal and should never have happened and the conditions place around the $ from the private donator were disgusting as well.
@RickEsenberg Word salad, Rick @DanRShafer 1 Rick 0
@RickEsenberg Local crank is pissed people vote who don’t look like him.
@RickEsenberg We showed [adequate election] funding disproportionately benefited Ds and was correlated with an 8k increase in D turnout. I don't want to put words in your mouth but replacing CTCL w adequate election funding gives your statement a sense of clarity of intent. Feel me?
@RickEsenberg Fair, visible, honest, clear elections. Why is that so hard to ask for.
@RickEsenberg Ah, the old correlation demonstrates causation fallacy.
