When it comes to the $15/hr, some politicians say they’re worried about small businesses. If they were really worried about these businesses, they'd pay ppl a living wage. Because the ppl w/ living wages are going to spend that $, back in the businesses. inthesetimes.com/article/fight-…
@RevDrBarber Yep. And people who earn a living wage ($25+) aren’t as mentally taxed therefore they don’t become as ill thus not requiring sick leave meaning they are more productive! Paying people a #livingwage = economic $ens$e
@RevDrBarber When I was in business I could make money in good times and bad, in any economic, political or tax environment. The only time I couldn't make money is when my customers didn't have any
@RevDrBarber The wages of $15 per hour sounds so good, however these businesses then cut workers hours to 20 hrs per week. Considered part time only then again they aren't eligible for benefits, health insurance. This is sad.
@RevDrBarber If it’s a struggle for small businesses to pay their employees $15/hr then the government should help those small businesses out so they can instead of big businesses getting government handouts. It should be small businesses not big that should be the life blood of our country.
@RevDrBarber View from UK - a national minimum wage was brought in 1st April 1999, the sky did not fall in! Current rates- $12.12 over 25yrs, $11.32 21-24 yrs. yes lower than$15 but we have free healthcare!
@RevDrBarber So true!! We hope our book will help others see this as well! Brokeinamerica.net
@RevDrBarber I have a VERY small business in Virginia. I pay my employees $15/hr because they’re worth it: they do good work, and they’re loyal employees. Plus they have bills to pay and kids to feed.
@RevDrBarber Still waiting for you smart people to address how the Republican memes of "trickle down" & "DO MORE WITH LESS" have worked together to turn human beings into disposable batteries.
