To all teen girls: if you are ever being followed or hit ion by a strange man when you are in public, walk toward an older woman you see and say loudly, “Mom! A strange guy is hassling me. He won’t leave me alone.” Every one of us has been there. We will be there for you.
@RetroCrone Just saying mom will have every mother turn towards you, it’s just a natural instinct and my sons are grown men, but I hear mom and my head whips around looking for that voice.
@RetroCrone I feel the reverse should work as well… creepy guy following me, me running up to a young woman and saying ‘darling how great you’re on time come let’s go get coffee!’ Maybe we need a safe word
@RetroCrone The comments are terrifying. I'm a large man, so I've often been the "boyfriend" when there's a creeper around. I'd be 100% on it if ANY girl or woman needed assistance. I do realize, however, that I'm a tad intimidating to approach, so I just keep an eye out. Sad world.
@RetroCrone 1950s. 9 yrs old. Weird guy following in car. Pulls over, starts to get out. Walked up to strange house, thank God unlocked. Sweet old lady locked door. Now I try to be her.
@RetroCrone My 16 yo just got this message tonight. I’m livid!
@RetroCrone I wish the men that claim male privilege is a myth would read through these responses and realize that women live in a world where they have to draw up escape plans to avoid the danger that comes from simply existing.
@RetroCrone Also, if you’re a man and you see or hear a guy being a creep don’t just keep walking. #GirlDad
