I was in the House gallery when Trump’s incited mob stormed the Capitol. 🧵 1/5
I remember consoling my friend and colleague who had just spoken to her family. I remember telling my fellow members to take off their pins so we couldn’t be identified. My Ranger training kicked in and I remember gripping my pen to use as a weapon if necessary. 2/5
Trump’s third indictment marks another somber and serious day. In America, nobody is above the law, including a former President, and all are entitled to due process under the law. As Republicans and Democrats, we can take heart in knowing justice benefits us all. 3/5
We can’t grow numb to that day. We can’t grow numb to what it meant for our democracy. We can’t look away just because we don’t like what we see. 4/5
@RepJasonCrow Somber? There is rejoicing that our democracy and the rule of law can survive.
@RepJasonCrow Showing pride in being a pusillanimous coward is a weird stretch, but okay.
@RepJasonCrow Can't wait for you to fight thorough investigations into Biden and his abuse of high office for personal and family enrichment
@RepJasonCrow Interesting, Indictments are just charges, nothing has been adjudicated, most indictments are thrown out! Curious why so silent on all the Biden shenanigan's though if you indeed are saying you are unbias?
@RepJasonCrow Hunter Biden walks free for doing 4x more tax fraud then Wesley Snipes. Joe Biden not even investigated after Ashley's diary is authenticated through prosecution of two people for possessing it.
@RepJasonCrow This makes me physically ill. You are all craven and corrupt, and your lies will catch up to you someday.
@RepJasonCrow Not True. The Biden's, Clinton's, Obama's and Bushes are all above the law. I guess you didn't get the memo.
@RepJasonCrow To paraphrase a tweet I saw the other day, “Trump should feel privileged to be indicted by a grand jury. In most countries the leaders of failed coups face a summary trial and are then executed”.
