The ports don't have a confirmed price yet, Activision hasn't announced one. So CharlieIntel isn't lying, they're likely referencing existing store listings, but those aren't the port prices. Bottom line: nobody knows what the PS4/PS5 ports will cost until Activision officially announces it. Anything circulating now is either the old versions' pricing or speculation 👍

What the files show: 🌍 New languages, not in the originals 🎮 PS5-enhanced flags (real improvements, likely a 120fps mode given the Warzone precedent) 🏷️ PS4 Pro flag on BO2 (documented Sony NEO flag) 🌐 Modern PS4/PS5 PSN infra, NOT the dead PS3 servers. That also means old PS3 progression won't carry over: fresh build, new trophy set, clean slate for everyone. Real work went in. Like Red Dead's PS4 port: still "a port," but sharper and smoother. 4 days inside the Black Ops 1 & 2 files. Here's everything I found 🧵👇 🌐 ONLINE / MULTIPLAYER Both games declare a "joinSession" intent in param.json. In plain terms: it lets you jump straight into a friend's online session from the PS4/PS5 system UI, invites and Game Base, without the in-game menu. Standard setup for games with active online MP. The infrastructure is built into the package, so multiplayer is very likely on board (not 100% officially confirmed yet). 🎮 PS5 ENHANCEMENTS Even though these are PS4 builds, they carry PS5-enhanced flags. In 2026, on a current-gen enhanced build, that means one thing: expect 120fps. Warzone already ran 120fps on PS5 via the PS4 version until 2022, so the tech path is proven. A port shipping without it would be the real surprise. 🛠️ MORE THAN A BASIC PORT This isn't a lazy 1:1 copy, and it isn't Xbox-style backwards compatibility (running the old build as-is). Real work went in: new languages that weren't in the originals, plus PS5-enhanced flags baked into the build. It can't run on legacy PS3 servers either, so it relies on modern PSN online infrastructure. Not a full remake, but clearly an enhanced, worked-on port. 🌍 NEW LANGUAGES (not in the originals) Indonesian, Thai, Vietnamese, Simplified Chinese, Norwegian, Czech, Danish. Real localization work, not a copy-paste. 🏆 TROPHIES Trophy IDs pulled straight from the files: BO1 → NPWR59944 | BO2 → NPWR59723 One unified trophy set per game, shared across all regions (EU/US/JP). Progression follows you regardless of version. 📦 DLC DLC uses separate Content IDs, with EU/JP versions redirecting to the US master listing for DLC distribution. 🌍 MISSING EU VERSION BO2 still has no EU version on the backend (only US and JP), unlike BO1 which has all three. A full launch would likely need the EU build to appear first, so watch for it as a signal 👀 🗓️ THE "2019 DATE" I first reported this, and it's now debunked: it's simply the PKG packaging method's creation date, NOT a development date. You're right that Activision officially called these "ports, not remasters," and that does temper expectations, I'm not disputing that. The flags I datamined (PS5-enhanced, PS4 Pro on BO2) are real and in the files, but a flag being present doesn't guarantee Activision activates meaningful enhancements in the final build. So you're fair to be cautious. Where I'd push back slightly: "port" still doesn't mean a 1:1 untouched copy, there's real work in there (added languages, modern PSN infra, not the old PS3 servers). Even Insider Gaming calls these "enhanced" while agreeing they're not remasters. So: not a remaster (you're right), but not a bare copy either. The exact level of enhancement, we'll only know at launch 👍

So Treyarch announcing PlayStation first doesn't mean it's a PS exclusive. Given the studio's track record, PC, Xbox and maybe even Switch versions showing up later wouldn't surprise me at all. The PlayStation reveal may just be answering the leak for now. Just my read, nothing confirmed beyond PlayStation yet 👀

Nothing in the files confirms an FOV slider, sadly, can't promise you anything there. Worth flagging: some people pointed out the original engine reportedly breaks models/animations when FOV is forced, so a clean slider might be trickier than it sounds. That said, a current-gen port would be the perfect chance to add one properly. Totally get wanting at least 90, hopefully Iron Galaxy delivers, but it's unconfirmed for now 👍

Most likely the second: a single PS4 build that detects PS5 hardware and applies the enhancements automatically, rather than a separate native PS5 version. That's exactly how Warzone worked, it was the PS4 version, but on PS5 it ran with enhancements (up to 120fps) until the native version arrived in 2022. Same approach fits what I'm seeing in the files here: a PS4 build with PS5-enhanced flags baked in 👍

If CharlieIntel is saying that, it's worth taking seriously, they're a solid source. But "1:1 port" and what I found in the files aren't necessarily in conflict: the core gameplay can be a faithful 1:1 of the original (same maps, same feel) while still running on modern infrastructure with added languages and PS5 enhancements layered on top. So it might just be a wording difference: "1:1" referring to the gameplay being untouched, vs the technical additions I datamined. We'll see exactly where it lands at launch, but both can be true at once 👍

Great question, and honestly the outlook is encouraging 👍 If these BO1/BO2 ports sell well (which they likely will given the hype), it sets a clear precedent for Activision to bring more classics over. World at War and the original Modern Warfare trilogy are the most requested by far. Nothing's been datamined or hinted for those yet, so it's purely speculative for now. But the logic is simple: if the demand and sales are there, doing the same treatment for WaW and the OG MW games would make total sense. Fingers crossed, that'd be a dream lineup 🙏

I get why that stings, thousands of hours is no small thing 😕 But "wasted" isn't the right word, those hours were the fun of actually playing it back then, and that experience doesn't disappear. Realistically yeah, with a fresh build and new trophy set, it's most likely a clean slate. But honestly there's an upside: everyone starts equal on fresh servers, no veterans with maxed-out everything dominating from day one. Kind of a nice reset for the whole community 👍

Can't confirm the internal resolution, that's not readable in the metadata (it's in the encrypted game data). So no hard number from me. But your logic holds: the original ran sub-720p (around 960x544 upscaled), and on PS5 hardware a big resolution jump should be trivial. Native 4K is very plausible for games this old running on current-gen. That said, it'll come down to how Iron Galaxy configured the build, so I'd treat 4K as likely-but-unconfirmed until launch 👍

Just to be clear: nothing has ever indicated League Play would be missing. That's pure speculation from some people, not based on anything in the files. The trophy list is encrypted so we can't see it directly, but there's no evidence pointing to it being cut. If the online modes run on the new servers, League Play should be there as normal. We'll confirm at launch 👍

All great questions, and honestly none confirmed yet 👇 Bundle vs separate: the files show separate Content IDs per game, so they're set up as individual products. A combo bundle could still be offered alongside, but nothing confirms it. Price: no info in the files or the announcement. Similar classic ports tend to land around $20-30 each as a rough reference, but that's not confirmed for these. DLC: this is the big one. The packs have separate Content IDs too (and the BO2 personalization packs were just delisted from Steam/Xbox), which could mean they get bundled into the port, or sold separately again. The delisting hints at repackaging, but free vs paid isn't confirmed. Basically: all signs point to answers coming closer to the July launch

@Lobog92 I will be very very surprise if the game don't support 120 fps based on ps5 flag.
