Good morning all!! Did anyone receive rejections over the weekend? We really hope you didn’t.
When should rejections be sent? It’s not an exact science and no one size fits all. Seems to be lots of support for during office hours. If you email late at night, could you schedule your rejection emails from now on?

Letting people know they haven’t made it to the next stage before you hold the next stage is a must!

Ghosting is never cool!!! If it will take you time to reply in detail, you can always let folks know. We recognise that people are busy but ghosting is dehumanising. We can all do better!

Folks, please schedule your rejection emails to go out during daytime hours to give recipients time to process before trying to switch off. It’s a small gesture that makes a huge difference.

@fronteirastl @NadPatel1 However, as capacity is often the first response to questioning why feedback is not offered we wanted to offer an way for people to increase their capacity whilst getting reasonable day rates to freelancers.

Ethically we would never engage with a process that charges applicants for feedback of any form and will have this conversation up front with anyone who contacts us. Ideally, we hope that through sharing good practice nobody wants to pay us!!!

@The_EmilyB Thanks for being so candid. We really hope not to have to sell anything but realise that capacity is often listed as an issue. Therefore, we wanted to offer a solution that sees money reaching freelancers. If people want to use the offer, we’ll be sure to spread the work!
