Whenever I read posts from Kremlin propagandists and pro-Russian commentators claiming that Russia could 'punish' #Armenia by deporting three million Armenians, I'm reminded how detached these narratives are from reality.
@pegasus77765 Actually, both the President of Iran and the Iranian Foreign Minister have congratulated Pashinyan. As for China, they usually don’t rush to send congratulations until a government has been formed.
Russia poured millions of dollars into dragging its puppet candidate into power in Armenia, only for the whole thing to end in failure. Now they’re absolutely livid and all they can do is desperately lie and yap about how the election was rigged.
The funniest thing is that Russia is the only country in the world claiming the elections were rigged, while every democratic country is saying the opposite.
Robert Kocharyan’s son admitted that his father had intended to fly to Russia. What’s striking is that this happened straight after the CEC declared the final results of the election.
The Kremlin rats, having lost all hope, are trying to escape punishment. Robert Kocharyan tried to flee the country. Law enforcement authorities prevented him from doing so.
@ScottThom01@zuraavaliani It’s also worth bearing in mind that X is full of Russian bots posing as Armenians and posting nasty things about Pashinyan. They usually operate through US IP addresses.
@ScottThom01@zuraavaliani Many in the Armenian diaspora have little understanding of what is actually going on in Armenia. A lot of them are unaware that the decision to hand Karabakh over to Azerbaijan had effectively been made in Moscow long before the Second Nagorno-Karabakh War started.
@A_Dashman@erdemlmp Everything you're saying is a lie. You're just parroting Kremlin fake narratives about supposedly rigged elections. All international observers have debunked these false claims. It's clear what you are - you're just another Kremlin bot.
@A_Dashman@erdemlmp I meant direct military involvement. That said, Western countries will of course support Armenia economically and in other ways - which they are already doing, especially now that Russia has declared economic war on Armenia.
A Russian bot farm tried to influence Armenia’s elections
According to researchers, the campaign closely resembled the tactics used ahead of Moldova’s elections.
In May, the number of anti-government and anti-EU posts in Armenian social media increased nearly tenfold.
Many of these comments were posted by the same accounts, which simply copied identical messages and spread them across different platforms.
The goal was simple: to create the impression that “everyone thinks this way,” even though the narrative was being artificially amplified by bots.
@A_Dashman@erdemlmp Instead of the Armenian diaspora supporting the legitimate authorities in Armenia, many in the diaspora, influenced by Russian propaganda, are talking complete nonsense about Pashinyan - who actually enjoys overwhelming popular support in Armenia.
Congratulations to Prime Minister @NikolPashinyan on his party’s reelection. The United States stands with Prime Minister Pashinyan and Armenia in the pursuit of peace, and we are committed to advancing the goals of the historic Washington Peace Summit, including implementation of the Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity (TRIPP). We look forward to working together to deliver peace, stability, and prosperity to the South Caucasus and beyond.
