A Daniel Jones that isn’t a threat to run is not a better option for the Giants than Drew Lock. Not that I’m sold on him as a better option overall, but an argument could be made that the run threat from Jones puts him as the better option.

It’s obviously as simple as that, and I understand that point. And maybe they think they’ll have an opportunity for the answer at QB in future drafts by trading picks cause holes will be filled already. Idk. An interesting gamble is all.

I think the Giants/Dabes can develop Jones. I just cannot trust he will be healthy for enough time to develop. So all their eggs are in the Lock basket? I wouldn’t bank my job on that.

There’s no way the Giants can fully trust Daniel Jones to play the full season. They’ve got Drew Lock who is a decent backup, and of course DeVito. But man, they’re putting a whole lot of trust in the OL and Carmen Bricillo to give these average QBs time to succeed.
