Just because someone can give something away for free doesn’t mean they should. Take @TheShortBear for example. He’s spent years sharing ideas for free. But the reality is that people tend to value free information less. When you pay for something, you’re far more likely to put in the effort to internalize what someone is teaching and apply it. The other reason he can charge for his knowledge is simple: he’s earned the right to. I don’t show up to a university expecting to be educated for free. I don’t expect my tax attorney to prepare my taxes for free just because he’s wealthy. My electrician owns a multimillion-dollar business—I don’t expect him to work for free either. There’s a strange misconception that once someone becomes successful, they somehow owe everyone else their time, knowledge, and education at no cost. Markets have a way of sorting this out. People with nothing of lasting value to offer—the flash-in-the-pan personalities—eventually disappear. But when someone like Lance or Lukas charges for their knowledge, it’s because there’s genuine demand for what they provide. A reasonable price isn’t just about making money. It’s also a barrier to entry. It filters out the trolls and attracts people who are actually serious about learning.

If I can’t string together winners, it’s a sign that something is off. Either I’m trading the wrong stocks, my entry tactics aren’t working, or the market environment isn’t supportive. Regardless of the reason, the response is always the same: trade smaller until I regain traction.

@RealSimpleAriel I agree about the value of progressive exposure to re-engage. I’m finding it difficult so far to string wins together. The good news about the method is that being flat is so much better than giving back the gains - which I would have done a couple years ago.

7/1/2026 Daily Recap: Bulls Trapped! - New names emerged $RDDT $HOOD which was a welcomed sign. - Banks continue higher $XLF $KRE - Memories struggle $MU $SNDK $WDC wide and loose - Mega caps try to bounce back $AAPL $AMZN $TSLA - Healthcare names are starting to get a touch extended here $GH $HNGE $TWST. - Market is healthy and what we are seeing is rotation. - Short and sweet tonight got caught up watching the USA world cup match!

Like everyone else, Q2 was nothing short of incredible thanks to the historic trend that began in April. June, however, was a much slower month. My best trade, $AXTI on the short side, is still open, but most of the month was spent taking profits on some incredible winners like $MU, $NBIS, $DELL, $DOCN, and $ARM. The extended, choppy nature of the market has made it difficult to get re-engaged with the prior leaders. A day like today is a great reminder of why progressive exposure is such an important part of my process. I’m not in the business of giving back gains after what was arguably the greatest two-month stretch most of us have ever experienced. I’ll put together a full Q2 recap this weekend.

$WDC was the one that ultimately delivered the blow-off move. I actually thought it would’ve been $SNDK that got there first, but I guess it’s fitting that the company that spun off SanDisk ended up being the one to do it. Markets have a funny way of writing their own story.
