@Frociality @ThingsWork ... the profits out of everyone else because their stuff works and is easy for anyone to use. Compare that to fiddling around with Android crapware that never gets upgraded on a given phone because you have to buy a new phone that makes minimal profit. #AllAboutTheBenjamins

@Negawz @ThingsWork They sat on their hands while Apple came out with their full-display touchscreen and App Store, and Nokia was eventually bought by Microsoft, which had also lost their Windows Phone market to Apple. Then the iPad ate the laptop market for breakfast, lunch, and dinner profitwise.

So, the current $7.25/hour is nearly double what it should be, adjusted for inflation, & MW earners pay no income tax + get other bennies.

That $1.3 billion “surplus” is a shell game politicians love to play for those footing the bills, as most in CA are freeloaders. I left before The Great Recession.

If you don’t wsnt to compete with teeming masses of other unskilled workers (especially tens of millions of them), improve your value to employers by becoming skilled.
