Never thought about this before: I have always thought that Noah was safe inside the Ark because he built it according to God's specifications. I thought that perhaps it was the strength of the gopher wood and the soundness of the architecture that ensured that the waters of the flood would not come into the Ark. But today I encountered a verse that shifted this whole paradigm. Let's read what Gen 7:16 says ... "The animals going in were male and female of every living thing as God had commanded Noah... THEN GOD SHUT HIM IN.... Don't miss this.... even after Noah had built the Ark, it was God Himself who shut him in, in order to shut out the waters of the flood... In other translations this verse says "The Lord sealed them inside." It is not the fact that you have locked your house that keeps you safe at night, it is not your good driving skills that keeps you safe on the road, neither it's your healthy eating habits that keeps you healthy - only God can shut you in and shut out the devil that is seeking to devour you. Only God can do so much for us.👆 Without Him, we are nothing.
@RandySevy You really believe that 6 million animals fit on that boat?
@RandySevy This is a great revelation and reminds me that no amount of human effort can guarantee redemption/salvation but only what God has done through the provision of His Son Jesus.
@RandySevy So the offspring of all animals are inbreed how did they survive?
Oy...research man. The Arc wasn't a boat. It was a submarine. There were no animals on this submarine ..just DNA of all the life on the planet. You live in a world of lies remember? Start with Sitchins books. Over a dozen books on this and many other subjects that have been lies so long everyone considers them the law of the land and gives people who knows the truth the finger. That is a fear mechanism. p.s. I wrote this long reply to be proactive. This subject really sets some people off.
Nice Randy. I'm grateful for all God has done for me. I've spent my whole life trying to get even closer without success. Often, I feel his Spirit, and he does answer some of my prayers, but I've never been able to talk directly to God or invoke even the smallest miracle. Christ invited Peter to try walking on the water ... so he wants us to try and do the miraculous. But I guess, like most people, until I die, I will never be able to invoke the powers of Heaven.
