I seem to remember a guy in the Bible who would quote the Bible and say things like, “You have heard it said..,but I tell you…” Jesus of Nazareth. The OG of deconstruction.

@RandyKnie The "guy" that told everyone He met to "lay down your life and follow Me"? Jesus had a knack for "deconstructing" people from their old life of sin....do that kind of deconstructing.
@RandyKnie True, but when the ends of post-modernism slip in as the middle men, Derrida, Foucault etc, the search for authoritative revelation has ended...by literal definition of the middle handlers... ie see current cultural slip.
@RandyKnie Jesus deconstructed the Law and the Pharisees, not the Way.
@RandyKnie Martin Luther also deconstructed… the term is now used as a boogeyman by extreme fundamentalists. I so thankful I parked in the gospels for 4+ years learning what a follower of Jesus truly looks, loves and lives like. This alone led to my “deconstruction” of toxic theology
@RandyKnie Deconstruction asserts new principles and attempts to be a new Jesus? Seems about right…
@RandyKnie What did Jesus actually say though? How did those sentences end, Randy? Because if you actually end those sentences how Jesus did, it looks nothing like deconstruction.
