Wishing everyone a lovely Easter break 🐣🐇🍫🐥 We have hubby home for 4 nights, then back at his mum's for 3 nights, then home for good. I can't explain how it feels to know we are going to be able to move forward after 4 extremely difficult years. I can finally heal 🙏🏻💖

"The Knock" was the trigger for all of this. I get frustrated that me and my kids lost everything and big tech bosses lose nothing. Also, when I tried to find work there were so many barriers to work, I tried so hard. This is why I am passionate about these issues. I lived them.

Hubby attended the last week of his Horizon course today. Just the one to one bit in a couple of weeks to do. Report already done. This has been the biggest barrier to him coming home...with a 5 month wait for a 32 week course...but it's been a means to an end, our enf goal 🙏🏻💖

I complain a lot about the system not providing inmates with legitimate rehabilitation, but that doesn't keep me from organizing from within. We've started book clubs, PTSD workshops, writing groups, tutors, & elder care attendants. You must work where you are to begin the CHANGE

FINALLY starting to move forward. Last night my Husband stayed at home with us, for the first time in almost 4 years. As he has almost finished his horizon course (1 week left) and licence. Probation finally agreed a phased return home. 🙏🏻💖🙌🏻 #rehabilitation #lifeaftertheknock

@Rainbowgirl1982 It went well thanks, better than I expected. As always it was the anxiety build up to it. Waiting 3 months for it and keep saying they will phone me to arrange then it didn't happen. I've now emailed SW and asked for his visits to start Easter Saturday!

@AnnieHopeWriter As you know I am recruiting volunteers in my job and I am very eager to recruit, train and support those with lived experience. They will have opportunity to grow and develop within our organisation if they choose. This needs to be the rule not the exception! Lived experience 1/2
Same for lived experience. I have witnessed this used as an excuse to not offer paid work to lived experience people - they might be traumatized. But apparently, traumatizing people for free is fine.
I'm going to be deactivating my account at the end of this week for the Easter break (my children break up at the end of the week). I will return w/c 15th April. Website & blog always up & available. I like to take social media breaks as it helps my wellbeing to disconnect.
