Another lovely afternoon with the Shell Countryside Centre Programme. Groups shooting, doing some livestock management, planting trees and walking out the hounds. Great group of youngsters, enjoying time out in the countryside. 🌳
Tree planting season very much upon us..and another little cherry tree put in today. Many thanks to our @RadleyLinks partners from @OxfordHIS for a fun, engaging and nature friendly session with us today. 🌳
‘He who plants a tree, plants a hope.’
Many thanks to Freddie P for helping out with this cohort of Shells, putting some walnut, plum and cherry trees into our orchard as part of their Wednesday activity. 🌳
Omelette cooking competition for these Capstone Programme boys. Learning essential life skills, as part of their alternative provision @Radleylinks. #Inclusion#Opportunity#Aspiration
Very proud of these @RadleyLinks partnership students from The Oxford Academy. Been working with us every Monday this term, today getting stuck into the unenviable task of ‘dagging’ the muckier sheep to keep them healthy. Great work young shepherds! 💪
Huge thanks to former Queen’s Royal Lancer Captain Olly Church for talking tonight on Remembrance Day @RadleyCollege about his experience being wounded in action in Afghanistan in 2010 and his battle back to fitness.
It’s day 5 of @ISC_schools#SchoolPartnershipsWeek and we’re celebrating our sports partnerships 🤝🏀⚽️
Through partnering with Active Oxfordshire and local primary and secondary schools, our sports partnerships programmes aim to widen inclusion and opportunity for children to access sport and activity.

On day 4 of School Partnerships Week, we’re shining a light on our music partnerships! We work alongside local schools and music providers to ensure every child has access to an inspiring music education. 🎶
Music Flood is a community partnership between 25 secondary and primary schools in Oxfordshire, bringing unique and life-enhancing musical experiences to local children. This includes collaborations with professional music ensembles, massed side-by-side orchestral performances for children of all levels and an annual programme of singing opportunities. Underpinning these are sustained projects supporting small ensembles in primary schools, collaborative curriculum planning and delivery, workshops in schools, and resources to support teachers.
Boys from Radley College play a pivotal role in leading and inspiring throughout all of these activities, whilst developing their own performance and leadership skills.
On Day 2 of #SchoolPartnershipsWeek, we are shining a light on our unique Countryside Centre. John Sparks, Director of Partnerships, speaks to Kai (6.1, C Social) about the impact our work has on him.
The Countryside Centre at Radley College delivers programmes with schools in Abingdon and Oxford; four state secondaries, two primaries, and one school catering for young people who have severe, complex or profound needs, including autism. The centre also provides individual curriculum extension programmes around livestock maintenance, rural skills, horticulture and bushcraft skills on 25 acres of nature-friendly farmland.
#PowerOfPartnerships#schoolstogether
Hugely satisfying to see Kai (6.1 @RadleyCollege) coaching this young lad from one of our @RadleyLinks partnership schools during his weekly session. Two boys - different ages, different backgrounds - working together. 💪
Huge thanks to six times British jump racing Champion Trainer Nicky Henderson for coming to speak to the Tattersalls Society @RadleyCollege last night. Inspiring, fun and informative talk. 🏇
We are delighted to join with other schools across the country to celebrate @ISC_schools School Partnership Week. 🤝
Our partnership activities are designed with a clear and meaningful objective, pooling resources to widen inclusion, provide greater opportunity and increase academic achievement. Working together we can help to create pathways to empower children bringing benefits which are both mutual and sustained over time.

Marble. Daft as a brush. Completely caught up in brambles and totally unable to free himself. Sheep 🤷🏻♂️ Thankfully alerted to his plight by a group of young hounds who barked madly to attract my attention! Sentient wee creatures. 💚
