@RTEsport @electionlit Even if I didn't have a sporting background I would find this to be fascinating. As a woman who had periods with dyspraxia, I was told to play sports as it helped with the pain and minimised somewhat the symptom's of dyspraxia, but the combination of the two,
@RTEsport if men knew what we experience, women would be honoured / celebrated for how tough we are. In the next week (for example) I expect to use 2 full boxes of tampons and 2 packets of towels. All the while I will do a 40 hour work week / garden etc
@RTEsport @newschambers Delighted to see the RTE panel discussing this, I used to play hockey in school and we “had” to wear hockey skirts during matches. Added stress when you had your period was substancial and impacted how you played.
@RTEsport RTE showing this tournament but who's watching it?? 70,000 turned up in Croke park this evening for mens semi but about 100+ turned up in Tullamore today to watch a cracker of a ladies footie match! Our own girls in our own sports should be getting priority!
