RRS Melkadida operation hosted a multi-donor mission from 14 countries with the presence of DDG @BruhICS, officials of Somali state, European ambassadors & snr officers from UNHCR HQ & regional offices. The mission visited projects & engaged in focused discussion with PoCs.

427 refugees from 🇪🇹 flew to the 🇺🇸 for resettlement. @RRSEthiopia, @IOMEthiopia & @UNHCREthiopia joined efforts to resettle refugees where the 🇺🇸 agreed to accept 1,700 of them housed in 🇪🇹. Tnx to the U.S govt, Ervin Jose Masinga @USEmbassyAddis, @IOMEthiopia & all involved.
The Council of Ministers approved a regulation that defines the structure, duties & responsibilities of RRS. The approval came true after a rigorous team work. It's a big leap forward in the history of the org, advancing its power to coordinate the 🇪🇹 refugee operation. Kudos!

The Council of Ministers approved a regulation that defines the structure, duties & responsibilities of RRS. The approval came true after a rigorous team work. It's a big leap forward in the history of the org, advancing its power to coordinate the 🇪🇹 refugee operation. Kudos!

Today,I hosted DRC Ex. Director for East Africa & Great Lakes Region along with the Council’s Director from 🇪🇹@ my office. We’d fruitful discussion focusing on ways to enhance refugee protection in🇪🇹. My guests promised to support 🇪🇹 in mobilizing funds for its refugee operation.
In partnership with Natl ID 🇪🇹 & UNHCR 🇪🇹,we've launched the issuance of digital IDs to refugees residing in Addis Ababa.Today, we issued 20 IDs & aim to issue up to 200 IDs daily.The IDs will grant refugees access to govt-directed services.Thanks 2 my dedicated team.
የስደተኞችና ተመላሾች አገልግሎት ከብሄራዊ መታወቂያና ከተ.መ.ድ የስደተኞች ኤጀንሲ ጋር በመሆን በአ/አ ለሚኖሩ ስደተኞች ዲጂታል መታወቂያ መስጠት ጀመረ፡፡ ዛሬ በ20 ስደተኞች የተጀመረው አገልግሎት፣ በቀጣይ 200 ስደተኞችን በቀን ያስተናግዳል፡፡
