Who knows what the reverberations of that will be as inventory is historically low and so many people flooding the market is certain to raise rents across the market. And anyone who thinks the east side is an option hasn’t paid attention to prices here either.

@lisa_catara This is crazy if people are going to cry about the homeless and we know there is already a lack of affordable housing. LA RSO was meant to help but what good is a letter if there is no one to enforce it? And #LAPD s involvement is scary to say the least

2/ if the laws aren’t enforced. ELA Sheriffs have jurisdiction for enforcement on the side of the landlord in my area but #LAPD is not supposed to get involved and if they do, they’re supposed to be on the renter’s side. Not so true in #BoyleHeights #rentcontrol

LA RSO renters stay on top of your situation. The courts are moving fast and appear to be sealing records so it’s hard to get accurate statistics and outcomes. #LAHD wrote our landlord a strongly worded condemnation which he just ignored. You’re not protected
