If Republicans are so concerned about the national debt, maybe they should roll back the $1.9 trillion tax cut they engineered for corporations and the super-rich.
@RBReich No No. The Trump tax cut was $4.5T. $1.9T is the media spin, which includes the false assumption in the Trump tax cut that the US economy would grow at GDP rate 3.5% in each of the next 10 yrs (2018-2028). Come on, get this right. It's all public record
@RBReich Or you know, cut spending and actually address the problem. Not that they will, no real difference between a Republican and a Democrat.
@RBReich They’re not concerned about that part of the debt 🫣. Only the parts the democrats need to fulfill promises to the American people.
@RBReich Every tax cut by republicans has paid for itself and brought in more taxes collected, bobby, and you know it.
@RBReich by your statement, should I conclude that you're NOT concerned about the national debt?
@RBReich That’s literally the only thing Democrats didn’t help Republicans pass.
@RBReich Or, we could roll back the Increase Inflation Act.
@RBReich Or we could cut the Federal Government down to a size where the money can actually be tracked and performance can be measured. I think 1T/year is plenty for the feds to spend.
