We can see what happens when Vitinha drops deep from the attack and picks the ball up. The dark blue circles show the areas the PSG attack can run into with the arrows showing the individual runs. The squiggly lines show the runs Vitinha would make to get those passes off. (2/3)
This is how PSG can overwhelm Dortmund. This 424 which could play as a 442 or 433 in defence offers 1v1s all across the pitch, and forces Dortmund to either spread out and engage or get into a low block and allow PSG this space out wide. This is where Vitinha comes in. (1/2)

So what can PSG do to take advantage of this situation?
Going through some tactics of how PSG might play against Dortmund and I think Enrique might try a 424 vs Dortmund. Let me show you the problem with PSG's 433 vs Dortmund. Starting with a regular but very effective starting attack position from PSG.
The green squares = areas where PSG make runs into the most. The red squares = areas that are run into the least. Dortmund's 4231 has allowed for more compactness defensively compared to the 352 they first had against PSG. The inclusion of Maatsen has been crucial to this. (1/2)

But his recent performances, particularly his display in Atletico, will give Terzic confidence in sticking to what worked. (2/3)
