Euphoria, Seven years, and I followed Rue all the way to the end. I’ve known her since 2019. That girl drifting in and out of the bathwater, in and out of the neon. Seven years. I thought I was ready. Then this finale the one they called “In God We Trust” left me alone. I really thought she’d finally talk to her mom. She was gone 25 minutes in. It was the pills that killed her. She died in her dad’s hoodie. Only Ali truly loved her. And then, my Euphoria was over. There are much details and I will mention in the other post. Here’s where the rest of them were left. Maddy got the closest thing to a real arc. The moment that lingers is the way her face quietly caved when Alamo talked about a future together, kids, a life; you could read a whole history of being owned in that flinch. Euphoria Season 3 Finale: 《Everything We Know Before E8 — I Pieced Together Every Clue》 I think you’re all wondering the same thing right now: how is this going to end? There’s just one episode of Season 3 left , E8 airs this Sunday , and I’ve laid out every clue I could find. But first, one thing worth noting: the title card reads “Season Finale,” not “Series Finale.” I think those two words are the cruelest part of all. Is this the ending, or is Sam leaving the door cracked open for a Season 4? I saw someone yell at their screen, “Don’t play with us, Sam finish it right.” That’s exactly how I feel. How I think it ends. E7, “Rain or Shine,” already flipped the whole board over. Nate is dead and the best summary I’ve seen of his exit is this: “Jacob Elordi clocked in, got married, screamed, got beat up, called some flowers some slurs, died, and clocked back out.” A whole character’s farewell in one sentence. Nate owed the Armenian mobster Naz six hundred thousand dollars, and to cover the debt for both Nate and Cassie, Maddy sold herself to a man named Alamo. The most chilling read I’ve seen is this: “I’m guessing Cassie and Maddy belong to Alamo now, what a dark ending for them both.” Alamo is a pimp, a crime boss who collects girls, and someone nailed exactly how he operates: “New girls walk in naming all the things they’d never do, with hard boundaries and total conviction… that’s what Alamo sees in them. People who think he ‘had a thing for Maddy because he saw something special in her’ don’t realize that is the hustle.” As for Rue, the prediction I think is the most beautiful and the most praised is the biblical one. Someone wrote that Ali (Rue’s NA sponsor) is like Moses: he leads people to the edge of freedom but dies before he can enter the promised land himself; and Rue is like Joshua, the one who survives and carries the liberation forward, becoming “Ruby” again. Someone even added the detail: “Maddy wore the Virgin Mary dress last episode.” The replies underneath were all “you should’ve been in the writers’ room” and “this has more depth than Sam does” — and I agree. I think that version is more moving than the script itself. There’s a more grounded version too: Alamo forces Rue to swallow the drugs she stole ,which are actually fake , expecting her to OD, but she survives. Ali dies, Rue takes his notebook and writes his name in it (which lines up perfectly with that other clue, “Rue’s name is going in the book”), and then she ends up at a farm in witness protection, telling this whole story from there. I think the read that “315 Jerusalem Road is Rue’s promised land” is more gorgeous than anything I’d expect Levinson to write.And then there are the versions that made me laugh out loud and I think the reason they’re funny is that anything really could happen: “Cassie will either be brutally murdered or announce a run for Congress.” Or: “If the finale ends with Rue letting out a screech, turning into a pterodactyl, snatching up Maddy and flying off into the sky while Alamo chases after her on a pony in a pink thong and cowboy boots, I would not be surprised at this point.” And the one I’m genuinely afraid will come true that it was all a play Lexi wrote: Rue dies, Maddy and Cassie die, everything turns to ash, and then with three minutes left it cuts to a theater where everyone’s alive and clapping for Lexi’s success. 🔥 How I Think Euphoria Season 3 Ends All season long, the show has been pushing everyone toward the cost of growing up — cartels, debt, Hollywood's quiet exploitation, lies that won't stay buried. So the finale won't be gentle. It's going to be a reckoning. Here's how I think it plays out. It opens on Rue's voiceover, like always — but the tone is different now. She's not the kid lying on the floor anymore, seeing the world as a dream. Nate died last episode, bitten by a rattlesnake. A guy who lived to control everything, to play god, killed in the end by the one thing nobody controls. That irony is exactly what this show has been building toward. He's dead, but the debt isn't — it all lands on Cassie. The whole episode tightens toward one thing: the DEA is closing its net. Laurie is careful, but Alamo is not — fake IDs, trafficking, the dancers. He was never discreet. So we get a big set piece. Maybe a shootout, maybe a raid. People die. More than one. The key is Ali's notebook. They brought him back last episode and gave that notebook a deliberate close-up — that's not nothing. My bet: Rue's name is in it. She became an informant. That's why she's been off all season. If that's true, her ending sits between two extremes: get found out by Laurie or Alamo and silenced, or get chewed up by the DEA machinery and go to prison. But I don't want her to die. And I don't think the writers will actually kill her — this whole show is Rue's recovery story, and killing her would erase that story. So I'm betting Ali pulls her out at the last second. Maybe he moves against Alamo himself; maybe he uses that notebook to buy her safety. Ali has always been the one person who genuinely wants to save her instead of using her. If anyone gets to hand her a breath of air, it's him. The price could be brutal. I have a bad feeling Rue's mom gets hurt — Alamo's people going after the family, for revenge or to silence her. That's the thread that finally makes Ali act. If that's how it goes, Rue isn't saved by the law in the end. She's saved by an old man, in his own way, and they both walk out carrying new wounds. See more 👇
