Correct. When an inventor creates a new tool, most of the value doesn't go to the toolmaker but to those who use the tool. The significant value generated for consumers is widely distributed, making it much harder for the ignorant socialist to see than the concentrated wealth of the toolmaker. What are you talking about?! 1) Consumers benefit from having larger disposable incomes. In a competitive market, even if there is initial resistance from retailers, prices would either fall or wouldn't rise as quickly. 2) Increased demand benefits retailers. 3) Higher corporation tax revenues benefit the Exchequer.
