Happening now… kicking off the @SOTexas Special Olympics Texas Breakfast with Champions event at Billy Bob’s with the @fortworthpd hosting. Great job by Interim Chief Robert Alldredge and his team supporting this worthy and noble cause. Ran into lots of amazing officers and law enforcement executives who pour their heart and soul into support athletes. @ChiefMillerCPD, Roger Yount, Laura Gonzalez, James Stewart, Adrianne Stewart, Mayor Pro Tem Amber Munoz, and my wife @zhicook stood with athletes and supported this endeavor. Thank you Jordan Baccus for always inviting our team and keeping us informed on how to stay involved with SOTX!! As a parent of a special athlete, this mission is crucial for our parents and communities.

Proud of the WEST COMM 911 team!!! Great stuff in store for our western Tarrant County agencies! We want to give a shout out to our newly re-branded WEST COMM 911 Dispatch Center led by Brandi Vineyard and staffed by the best dispatchers in the profession. Here are some interesting facts: 1. We dispatch for White Settlement, Westworth Village, and Sansom Park. 2. We are pursuing accreditation for our dispatch center, including best practices outlined by the Police Executive Research Forum. 3. We provide detention services for White Settlement, Westworth Village, Sansom Park, Westover Hills, White Settlement ISD, the FBI, DEA, ATF, Marshal’s Service, and Homeland Security Investigations. 4. WEST COMM 911 is the name that was approved and authorized to represent our vastly growing partner cities and jurisdictions. More entities will be announced soon. 5. Our team meets monthly with the consortium of partners to enhance the service delivery to our mutual cities. This includes pursuit best in class products and software applications that protect our communities and officers. 6. The police department is accredited by the Texas Police Chiefs Association Foundation as a Best Practices Agency. 7. WEST COMM 911 is the only agency to have executive representation at the FBI National Command Course Association, International Association of Chiefs of Police, National Information Officers Association, Law Enforcement Management Institute of Texas, Institute for Law Enforcement Administration, Caruth Police Institute and the Fort Worth AirPower Council. These connection points matter when it comes to building sustained and positive relationships with a variety of law enforcement stakeholders, military partners and community groups. 8. Our team is on the Fort Worth Police Radio System. 9. Motorola is the trusted provider for interoperable communications between WEST COMM 911 and our officers. 10. Our Dispatch Center utilizes a state of the art computer-aided dispatch system (Motorola Spillman Flex) that integrates with agencies across the State of Texas. This means your city partners have access to critical information when it matters most! Bottom line - Our team does an incredible job protecting our communities and employees! The waxing crescent moon 🌙 was in alignment tonight with the two gas giants of Saturn and Jupiter (bottom right from the moon). On Monday, the great conjunction of Jupiter & Saturn will occur—and it will be the last until the year 2040. Clear skies!
