It’s mental health awareness month, don’t forget that it’s not just depression and anxiety. It’s also PTSD, it’s schizophrenia, it’s Dissociative identity disorder, borderline personality disorder, bipolar, ocd. Support everyone. Every brain is different, just be kind. Be aware.
We don't look *exactly* alike, so I guess more like fraternal twins? Haha. It's very interesting because either of us could have become host. But in the end, I won out. Almost like we were young heirs. We were looked after by our eldest sister. (Possible caretaker?)
Do any systems have a familial relation to their alters? There's one I call my twin "brother" because it feels like we grew up together in a way i.e we split around the same age and co-fronted often enough that we were just two peas in a pod. It's still that way now.
Not because I think it's lame or anything, I just haven't had the chance. And I don't really understand it.
Here's my daily confession: I've never once played DnD before.
@TheCactusSystem When it's dissociation not connected to a switch, I just sort of zone out and things around me feel blurry and muted until I come back.
@TheCactusSystem I don't know what it's like for anyone else, but I feel a bit sleepy when I'm about to switch. It's difficult to explain, it's not Iike my body is actually tired, but it feels like I fall asleep (on the inside) and wake up someone else. Even though outwardly we're already awake.

For me, when alters are active it feels like an ever fluctuating graph (there's more than 4 of us but to keep the visual simple).
Others are dormant or rarely peek. As long as a system is functioning okay, all of these configurations are fine.
If you're swapping out a lot it doesn't necessarily mean you're unstable, it just means there's a lot of active alters. In my system, they're lazy and comfy hanging back in headspace lol. So, they only come out for bits at a time or mostly just speak to me in my head.
Something I wanna say is it's okay if you aren't exactly sure how many you've got in your system. If you're OSDD1b it can be particularly difficult to distinguish who from who. If there's lots of blending or co-fronting going on, that makes it even more blurry.
@DNApparition This is really cool. Looks almost like a marionette. One side being a mask and the other some sort of shadowy silhouette is interesting imagery. I like the draping over the arms. Elegant design.
Systems with different kinds of handwriting are super neat. I think things like that is fascinating.

Now, I have seen gender identities influenced by neurodivergency i.e autism creates a dissonance to gender roles as it's partially social cues and knowing how to "act" feminine/masculine so someone might call themselves autigenger. But never new TYPES of autism.
What flavour is your ADHD? Mine is bombo-adhd meaning I get fuck ass mad a lot due to easy frustration. Which is just. experiencing ADHD symptoms anyway... so it doesn't need an extra special™ name glorifying it?
