I was born in Falkirk, to a Scottish mother and a Polish father, moving to England as a young boy - so I'm a mix of English, Scottish, Polish and British! I'm very grateful for everything that England has provided for me - a truly special country. Happy St George's Day!
@ProfKarolSikora You sound a bit like my old Army mate, Jock Kochanowski.
@ProfKarolSikora Happy St George's day to you and your family
@ProfKarolSikora I was born in Fulham to a Dutch mother and Polish father and I'm very proud to be English and British if only by birth !
@ProfKarolSikora Truly special? Yes, it used to be, when I was young in the 40s and 50s. Now? We have no-one of principles, character, backbone, to preserve and nurture what we had. It's the dead hand of The Blob: smother everything in red tape - if you can't just abolish it.

@ProfKarolSikora Thank you and a Happy St. George’s Day to you. I wish there were more people like you with this sentiment. Thank you for your huge service to this country and all the great work you do 🙏
@ProfKarolSikora When I was younger there were three close neighbours who were Polish. Very nice chaps, sadly all passed on now, all came here sometime after the 2nd world war. Happy St George's day Karol.......oh by the way they were called Ted, Alec and..... George.
