No. What makes me mad is that my governor enticed these upper caste Indians to come here with their corporations instead of investing in Texans. This was a plan not a natural affect of legal immigration. Those same well off upper caste Indians would donate to his campaign and do business with his wealthy friends. All of this puts actual Texans at an economic disadvantage. Look at what % of students at UT are of Asian descent. It's 22-25%. They're going to dominate the tech industry in Austin not because they're better at it. It's because they have been handed an economic advantage over Texans. You only have to live in Texas for a year to be considered a Texas resident for admission purposes. The most ironic part of it all is that these are likely the same Indians (and their children) that took American jobs when our customer service industry got sent overseas.

The alternative to this is investing in Texans instead of importing people to replace us. Abbott chose the latter. He couldn't squeeze campaign donations from Texans like he used to, because we are increasingly sick of his shit. He keeps getting elected, because enough Texans repeatedly don't turn out to vote against him in primaries, and therefore we are stuck with him unless we want someone like Beto running Texas and taking away our 2A rights. I held my nose and voted for him several times. I will do so no longer.

I agree with all but one thing. Any pushback from Abbott is purely performative. This is a feature of Abbott's economic plan for Texas.
