“Horror” is the worst genre in the anime industry. The reason being that most anime that are classified under the “horror” genre (looking at anilist) are not actually horror & fail to capture the essence of it. “Another” is THE best horror anime because I feel it captures it best

There is not a series out there more misunderstood than Yosuga No Sora. Name me 1 series that is as misunderstood as this. You can’t. The only 2 that compete is Oshi No Ko and Mushoku Tensei but even then they’re not as badly misunderstood as Yosuga No Sora is

If an anime/game/movie doesn't meet a high visual standard, they won't get to appreciate the story & chars. And they ain't even exceptions 😵💫
@PopUpWaifu @popcornalotpop I have no idea, it's 7ish , so could be I gave up after 6, or 8. There was no single deal moment deal breaker, it just didn't hook me enough due to the desensitized effect after death/revive/death/revive, etc. I might give it a 2nd chance at some point tho...
@PopUpWaifu I'm not disagreeing but I'm curious about your opinion. Do you have a few isekai's that are better?
@PopUpWaifu I agree with Mushoku tensei but I found Log Horizon to be sort of "empty". It felt way less engaging than Mushoku or re:zero. Grimgar was great but it only being 12 episodes really holds it back imho.

@PopUpWaifu @popcornalotpop *takes a deep controversial breath* dropped it after 7ish eps 🥱 Subaru annoyed me, the girls were decent, tho' nothing outstanding & those combined contribute to a bigger issue in that the romance itself is MID at best 👎 I also quickly became desensitized to repeated deaths.

@PopUpWaifu Ye, I just love the sheer unfiltered experience. It's precisely because I wanna get so immersed in the story & chars that I don't wanna play/read 'em unless I can dedicate loads of time & attention to them. I'd be hitting them rn, I'm all in single player RPG arc rn 🙏
@PopUpWaifu Now that's simply ignorance on their part. They dissing something w/o even sampling it at least A BIT😔 Not an issue for non-anime fans, they don't care for any of this stuff, but it's crazy to me when it's anime/manga fans who diss VNs 😵💫
I was immersed like crazy during my VN arc a few years ago, and treasured every moment. Eventually I'll wanna get into them again. But immersion breaks in annoyingly fashion when life gets in the way and that's where one can appreciate just how accessible anime & manga are. 2/2
Got my own two cents on this so indulge me 🙏 : So YES, my based moot pop-kun is right in that VNs do a give more a more in-depth, unfiltered & immersive experience. However, accessibility is a factor too, and that's where anime & manga score a big W on VNs. 1/2
Visual Novels are better than manga, light novels and even sometimes anime! There are visual novels out there that are genuinely far above most anime coming out today that people choose not to read simply because they can’t sit down and read when a VN probably clears your fave.
