Never in my entire business career have I seen anything like the last 24 hours. Hey team, we need to cost cut, so thank you very much for your service and have a nice summer. Hey board, now that we’ve fired 10%, can I please have my $55B back now. $TSLA
@PolitiReality Over-reaction. Certain it’s happened many before. Just not as high-profile. Layoffs happen regularly, especially at huge corporations. Here are just a few layoffs already announced for 2024: businessinsider.com/layoffs-sweepi…
@PolitiReality Yeah I'm sure this happened overnight, just like that.
@PolitiReality The pay package he already earned? Oh the humanity!!!
@PolitiReality It was agreed upon and needs to be paid.
@PolitiReality Of course it wasn’t done in advance of the public announcements You know, considering the time to get board approval - write the 169 page proxy, SEC statements, public comm plan, Etc Instead - Happened just like you said
@PolitiReality He already earned that money which back in 2018 seemed impossible. I don’t get your point.
@PolitiReality You need to expand your business career outside of McDonalds.
@PolitiReality Those two things are entirely unrelated to each other.
So if you would have a performance package at your work, which seems impossible to achieve. Then you work 5 years so hard to achieve it and achieve all of it. Now, 5 years later your boss tells you sorry we cannot give you your bonus because it would not be fair to the rest of the team. How would you react?
