I don’t know if games do this often, but i like this trope a lot!
@supermilobros I first saw this and thought that. “Yeah this is something KH would do” and I feel like I was right
@PlayDJUCN2 @supermilobros That never specifically happened in KH but similar things have happened. In KH games, you’ll often have an optional secret boss who’s harder than the final boss and it turns out they’re secretly the antagonist(or just a main character) from the next game in the series.
@PlayDJUCN2 @supermilobros Actually Kingdom Hearts usually teases a main character or usually the main bad guy for the next game as their super bosses, Only DDD doesn't do this.
@PlayDJUCN2 @supermilobros Interestingly enough, Kingdom Hearts did this the other way around, with a secret boss in KH2 Final Mix later being (sort of) one of the main characters of Birth By Sleep. KH2FM also had a difficult but not optional boss fight against Roxas, a couple years before 358/2 Days.
@PlayDJUCN2 @supermilobros thinking about, on KH is usually a character from the next game that appears as "secret boss harder than the final boss" Unknown/Xemnas from KH2 on KH1 Lingering will/Terra from BBS on KH2 Mysterious Figure/young Xehanort from DDD on BBS Yozora possible from KH4 on KH3
