Again, a moment to pause & appreciate the cool professionalism of those in & around the Key Bridge at 1:24 am Tuesday. Ship’s pilot radios in that ship has lost steerage & will hit bridge. Someone (maritime control?) transmits urgent alert to Maryland/Balt police dispatch… —>
@cfishman I heard the tape of the alert yesterday-- calm, straightforward, professional. Not one wasted word. Even when the collapse was announced. Amazing to hear the self control.
@PlannedTheRide @cfishman Do you have a link to it by chance? The only one I've found so far is post-collapse, but I was curious if there was any audio regarding them closing the bridge.
@PlannedTheRide @cfishman I am always struck by tapes of pilots on ✈️ that are having crises. They’re calm and trying to fix the problem. Nobody’s ever crying or yelling.
@PlannedTheRide @cfishman My boss and I listened and I commented: True pros. Listened to their voices, kinda flat, a calm urgency; professional.
@PlannedTheRide @cfishman The tape of the police dispatcher on 1/6 has stuck with me for the same reason. They played the tape in the 1/6 hearings.
