How is it simpler to concoct another shooter when you've got the guy with witnesses galore saying he did it, he's on camera doing it, he wrote a note prior to doing it saying he was going to do it. And his family ID'd the rifle. He did it. Where did you get the bullet weight? They used to make PSP's in 125 gr. May still. I've killed deer with them. I have yet to see the weight of the fragments addressed. I don't get why this fact upsets you? People have been saying it's impossible for that shot to have been a 30-06. That's a straight up lie. I've seen it happen personally too many times. The problem with fragments is you are unlikely to be able to match them to a rifle. It's the nature of the violence of deceleration that identifiable marks will be broken up and smashed on impact. I wouldn't expect fragments to be able to be ID'd very often unless you've got at least half of it intact all the way to the back of the bullet. One out of ten is not rare. It's normal. It happens that often. It's actually probably higher than that but even if it's just 1 in 10, that's not unusual. Shoot ten and you'll see for yourself. And the idea that shooting through a torso is somehow harder than shooting through a neck is just denying physics. Body cavities are empty air and wet squishy stuff followed by maybe two inches of meat and bone total, and I only ever hit one rib so you can say the bone part was maybe 3/8 of an inch cross section. That's compared to the neck which is probably four or five times the width of tough sinew, muscle, and bone. If there's one spot on a human that's going to deflect a round, that's the spot. Yes, there are a TON of morons that don't understand terminal ballistics who are saying that it not exiting was impossible. It's not. It happens all the time.
