“I was wondering why I haven’t gotten a question about the Jerry Jones photo, but when the Kyrie thing was going on, you guys were quick to ask questions about that.” - LeBron James asks reporters about the 1957 desegregation mob photo
@Phil_Lewis_ @nhannahjones It's a fair question, but also it's probably because the Kyrie situation is more recent and that Kyrie is a former teammate of LeBron. Also LeBron defending Kyrie with the suspension than pulling this type whataboutism looks really weird.
@Phil_Lewis_ So now LeBron is Jesse Jackson or Al Sharpton? Got it…
@Phil_Lewis_ If the media wanted to REALLY be consistent, they'd be asking all the white players what they think about the Jerry Jones photo
@Phil_Lewis_ Dont understand the take. Did they ask Brady to chime in on Sarver or something. I mean I get not liking the Jones deal of course but I wouldn't expect the question to be asked of NBA or MLB stars just as I didn't expect to get other sports stars takes on Sarver, Kyrie, Leeonard.
@Phil_Lewis_ Why would he get asked about Jerry Jones. I understand why he was asked about Kyrie.
@Phil_Lewis_ Eddie told us about this a looong time ago.....
@Phil_Lewis_ one of them involves a basketball player currently doing what they are doing. the other involves an owner from a different sport doing something 65 years ago.
@Phil_Lewis_ @AntheaButler Why is it so hard for #JerryJones to say, “I was ignorant and racist in high school but I’ve learned and grown and now understand there’s no justification for racism and that I was wrong. I’m sorry for all the pain I caused”?
@Phil_Lewis_ Mayeb, LeBron, the basketball genius was not born yet in 1957 when the photo of Jerry Jones was taken so not sure what exactly he would be asked about... On the other Kryie acted out recently.
@Phil_Lewis_ The photo has nothing to do with him. He won a championship with Kyrie.
