If Putin is a dictator. That means Russia is a totalitarian state. I don’t know what George Orwell was talking about. It’s actually very pleasant. I think of that sometimes when I walk the Moscow streets. The groups of joggers in their fluorescent clothing, the teachers supervising playful children on their day trips, the sidewalk cafes bustling. The Western mainstream press lives in a bubble all of it’s own. Although I’m currently reading a lot of Russian literature. It’s pretty jarring to be sitting in a modern, Moscow, hipster cafe with the historic suffering of its people, seeping through almost every page. Times have rather changed.
@johnnyjmils Please put up a Ukrainian flag and see how long it takes before some law enforcement personnel approaches you. Try something similar in any Western country and compare. Good luck.
@PetterA62 @johnnyjmils Try putting up a Russian flag in Australia. And technically we’re not even at war with Russia
@PetterA62 @johnnyjmils Better place sign with "No War" and how fast you will be jailed. Even if you censured word War
