Andy Reid in playoffs by QB: Patrick Mahomes (14-3 W-L | 30.2 PPG) Donovan McNabb & Jeff Garcia & Michael Vick & Alex Smith (11-13 W-L | 22.0 PPG) Mahomes managed to turn Reid into a big-game coach, which he definitively was not.
@PaulHembo 100%agree. Never was good against the best QBs and Coaches in the Playoffs. Now. He has the Best QB. It made all the difference. His flaws are still his flaws. He never self corrected. Poor clock management slow decisions Challenges
@PaulHembo I disagree. Andy Reid was a great coach before Mahomes, he was just awful at managing the clock at the end of games..to the extent that my buddy Shawn sent him a new copy of Madden every year in the hopes that he could learn clock management. Mahomes changed that at end of games
@PaulHembo Down 10 with 8 minutes to go in his first Super Bowl, Mahomes took over and won it. Andy always found himself in those situations and needed Mahomes to win the big one
@PaulHembo Just like Tom Brady turned Belichek into a big-game coach
@PaulHembo Damn, this is a great stat. It’s a players league (as they all are) coaches just play a part in it.
@PaulHembo How many coaches have won playoff games with 4 different starting QBs?
@PaulHembo Makes sense, look at almost every “great coach” they didn’t become officially great until the had a great, not good, a great QB.
