NEW GTA 6 VEHICLE DETAILS: - Hijacking a car now has a quick-time event, and passengers can fight back while you try to take it. - Parked cars can be stolen loudly by smashing the window or quietly with the correct theft tool. - Older cars may use a Slim Jim, while higher-end cars can require tools like a key cloner. - Theft tools are unlocked through progression, including work for vehicle fences. - Not every car can be hotwired. Some high-end vehicles will not start without a key cloner. - Expensive cars can also have alarms and built-in trackers. - The WAiNK app lets you scan a vehicle to see its security, required theft tool, tracker level, registration cost and potential sale value. - Vehicle trackers have different tiers, and advanced ones require better-connected fences to remove. - Higher-end trackers create a mini-game: drive fast enough and they won't ping police, but slow down too long and your location is reported. - Vehicle fences improve as you complete work for them, eventually letting you sell better cars and remove stronger trackers. - Vehicle fences can also have lists of specific cars they are looking to buy. - Mod shops now have different specialties instead of one shop doing everything. - Most shops offer basic upgrades, while locations like One Eyed Willies and Rideout Customs specialize in particular builds. - Pay 'n' Spray returns for quick repairs and basic resprays, which can also help remove police Heat tied to your vehicle. - TGG saw around 6–8 basic paint colors available at Pay 'n' Spray. - Cars can also be sold at Pay 'n' Spray locations. - Some fences and Pay 'n' Sprays unlock later as the story progresses. - You can own as many personal vehicles as you have garage spaces. - Garages can be purchased around the map and used to stash stolen cars before you can register them or remove their trackers. - A stolen car can remain safely stored in a garage even if it is not officially yours yet. - Additional safehouses cannot be purchased, but low-key garages can. - Fuel is a real mechanic, and EVs also need recharging. - Gas stations let you repair and refuel. Filling up takes roughly 10 seconds and uses a short animation. - Fuel is designed to matter mostly when you're careless, such as stealing a nearly empty car during a police chase. - Driving physics were rebuilt from the ground up. - Handling keeps some of GTA 4's weight while retaining GTA 5's accessibility. - Drivetrain, tires, suspension and steering are all more deeply simulated. - Fast cars have much higher top speeds, and different vehicles feel noticeably different to drive. - Powerful rear-wheel-drive cars require more throttle control. - Traffic is much denser and roads are narrower, making skilled driving more important. - Motorcycles are also significantly faster than before. - High-end sports cars can perform badly off-road unless properly tuned. - Nitrous is in the game. - Vehicles now have storage capacity for robbery gear such as duffel bags. - Motorcycles carry very little, cars carry more and vans can carry several bags, making vehicle choice matter during robberies. - Personal vehicles can be recovered through Scooter Brothers if lost or destroyed. - If police know an abandoned vehicle is yours, they can guard it and eventually impound it. - You can attempt to sneak back and recover the vehicle before it gets impounded. - You can pay to recover an impounded vehicle or steal it back yourself. - Vehicle destruction is much more impactful than GTA 5, including stronger effects from blown tires. - Major high-speed crashes can trigger a Burnout-style crash camera, which can be disabled. - Multiple types of races and car meets are also featured.
